Cookie Policy

A plain account of the small number of cookies this site sets, what each is for, and how to turn them off.

01

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember your session and understand, in aggregate, how the site is being used. Similar technologies include local storage and pixel tags.

02

Cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary — session and security cookies that keep the site running, protect forms against abuse and remember your interface preferences. These cannot be switched off.
  • Performance and analytics — aggregated, anonymised measurement of page views, referrers, approximate region and device type, so we can improve the site. These are not used to identify you.
  • Advertising cookies — none. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking pixels on this website.
03

Third-party content

Pages that embed a map or an external video player may allow that provider to set its own cookies once the embed loads. Those cookies are governed by the provider's own policy.

04

How long they last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent analytics cookies expire no later than 13 months after they are set or last refreshed.

05

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings — the options sit under Privacy or Site data in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox. Most browsers also offer a private browsing mode that discards cookies at the end of the session.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent forms on this site from submitting correctly.

06

Personal data

Where cookie data can be linked to you, it is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana.
